A quarter plate tintype photograph featuring a pair of Union soldiers. They could be cavalrymen or artillerymen, although they wear cavalry trousers (with nice blue tinting added by the photographer), and the untinted shade of the piping on their jackets suggests it could be yellow, further suggesting cavalry. The plate is in remarkably fine condition. The image is housed in a thermoplastic union case (Berg 1-34 Harvest Motif) in complete and nearly flawless shape.
