$240.00

Item No. 1204683

A nice CDV view of William W. Loring of Florida, who fought in the Seminole Wars, the Mexican War, and the Civil War. Perhaps best known for his disagreements with Stonewall Jackson after the Romney Campaign in early 1862, Loring would spend much of the war holding commands in the Western Theater.

In the CDV, Smith appears in a vignette view wearing civilian clothing. On the reverse is the imprint of E. & H. T. Anthony of New York. Pencil notations on both sides identify Loring. Measures about 2 1/2” x 4”.
