A CDV view of Captain Benjamin M. Peck, Co. B, 141st Pennsylvania. Peck was a prewar attorney from Towanda. H was wounded May 3, 1863, at the Battle of Chancellorsville. For a three-month period in late 1864, he commanded 1st United States Sharpshooters, according to the 141st’s regimental history. At the base of the mount is the imprint of Towanda photographer George H. Wood. Signed, “Benj. M. Peck / Capt Co “B” 141st P.V.” Slightly trimmed to about 2 1/4” x 3 7/8”.
