A nice vignette CDV portrait of Union General George G. Meade, most notable as commander of the Army of the Potomac from June 1863 through the end of the war. The image is after a woodcut engraved portrait of the general. No artist’s imprint, although Meade is identified in period ink on the verso. Measures about 2 1/2” x 4”.
