A CDV view of Fort Snelling, which sits upon a bluff near the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers near St. Paul, Minnesota. The dramatic view captures the 1820s fortress from across the Mississippi River. On the verso is the imprint of Whitney’s Gallery of St. Paul. The image has a couple of creases and some chipping to the edge of the mount. Measures about 4” x 2 1/2”.
