Featured in this CDV image is Union General Frederick W. Lander, who was wounded following the Battle of Ball’s Bluff in October 1861, and died from complications of pneumonia in March 1862. The image was made from a lithograph. On the reverse is the backmark of E. Anthony of New York with credit to Mathew Brady. Measures about 2 1/2” x 4”.
