Item No. 3158690

An excellent CDV featuring Lieutenant David F. Hicks, an officer who was wounded at Antietam as a sergeant serving with the 13th Massachusetts Volunteers. In March 1863 he was discharged from the 13th and commissioned a lieutenant in the 79th United States Colored Troops. In this wonderful image, Hicks wears his frock coat and holds a cigar between two fingers.

The CDV measures about 2 1/2” x 4” and is in excellent condition, as shown. The backmark is S. Moses & Son of New Orleans.
