Ninth Plate Tintype of Boyish Union Infantry Volunteer - Full Leather Case

Item No. 4803092

Offered here is a nice 1/9 plate Civil War tintype featuring a boyish Union infantry volunteer. The young man appears to me no more than fifteen or sixteen years old. He poses in the photographer's studio, with his frock coat unbuttoned and forage cap atop his head. Several of his coat's brass eagle buttons are clearly defined under magnification. The photographer applied a light rouge to his cheeks. The image is house in a full leather case with good hinge and functioning hook & eye closure.
