Offered here is an interesting hand-written September 1863 "Report of Officers employed in the Quartermaster's Department of the 2nd U.S. Infantry." Written from the camp near Culpeper, Virginia, the document was written out by Lieutenant Francis E. Lacey, regimental quartermaster for the 2nd U.S. Infantry. It specifies that Lacey was the only officer employed as a quartermaster for the time period stated.

The document was written upon a stationery sheet measuring about 7 3/4" x 9 3/4". It is in very good condition, as shown. Minor wear to edges and corners. Little foxing and toning. Creased where originally folded, as well as s handful of minor wrinkles in the paper.
