An interesting June 1861 invoice of subsistence stores delivered to the 3rd Pennsylvania Volunteers at Chambersburg. It is made out to Lieutenant Jacob M. Campell of the 3rd (future brevet brigadier) and is signed by Lieutenant Daniel W. Seiler of the 14th Pennsylvania. Both regiments were three-month regiments. The invoice lists hundreds of pounds of fresh beef, bacon, hard bread, beans, coffee, sugar, candles, and soap. The document measures about 8” x 12” and is in very good condition with light toning and foxing. Creased where originally folded.
