A nice CDV of Union General George G. Meade, most notable as commander of the Army of the Potomac from June 1863 through the end of the war. The general poses in a double-breasted frock, with major general’s stars on his shoulders. A monocle is visible near the buttons. On the reverse is the backmark of photographer Charles Fredricks of New York.. Really nice condition but for trimmed corners. Measures about 2 1/2” x 4”.
