A nice patriotic cover featuring the bust portrait of Major General John E. Wool, the celebrated veteran of the War of 1812 and the Mexican War. Wool was two years older than Winfield Scott, and in fact was the oldest general to serve on either side during the Civil War. The cover is unused and measures about 5 1/2” x 3”.
